TERRITORY

Trentino Alto Adige is situated in the very north of Italy bordering Austria and Switzerland, and is best known for the beauty of its peaks.  This setting encloses an extraordinary variety of landscapes: magnificent mountaintops, woods, wide valleys, streams, lakes, typical villages, and the myriad shades of nature.

CITIES

The two main cities of the region are Trento and Bolzano. However there are several small villages which make the region one of the most enchanting destinations in Italy.

WORTH TO MENTION

Hundreds of miles of ski slopes make this region an important tourist destination - Madonna di Campiglio, Canazei, Moena, San Martino di Castrozza are the best known resorts, popular in both winter and summer for their natural surroundings, sport activities, and fun.
The landscape of Lake Garda is particularly picturesque; it narrows in Trentino, appearing as a fiord between the high mountains.
A number of spa towns complete the offer of the region .

CLIMATE

The climate in the Trentino region makes it possible to enjoy it during the whole year round. The areas surrounding Lake Garda boast a rather mild and Mediterranean climate, whilst higher altitudes offer a fairly Alpine climate with short summers and cold winters . The major part of the Trentino region however features a moderate climate, with gentle summers, snowy winters and an average level of humidity.
We suggest the winter season for skiing and the spring to autumn months for visiting the charming villages, enchanting castles and for admiring the sceneries.
